Raised in Curitiba, Brazil, the birthplace of countless UFC champions, Sergio began training Judo at the age of 2, later expanding into Capoeira, Boxing, and MMA. In 1992, he embraced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and never looked back.

Today, Professor Silva leads Alchemy Martial Arts™ in Alameda, California, and runs affiliate academies across the U.S., Brazil, and the U.K. He trains students, law enforcement, elite athletes, and private clients—teaching not only how to fight but how to live with confidence, clarity, and purpose.
